I haven’t done either, and I could have told you that.

Her knees will never forgive her. But, I think I prefer the knee problem. While it is painful, she has gained a few benefits from the effort and there are treatments for that. She also has discovered more about her surroundings.

On the other hand, Caulfield will suffer an ear worm from reading that one chapter so many times. He’ll remember them in his sleep. He might never forget them. I can think of better choices to recall, including some song lyrics.

Boston Marathon? Anyone who’s ever walked on hills could have told her that.

‘Walking Down hill’. In 1950 a group of kids from Camp WagaNaki East Waterford ME had climbed Mt. Washington. We got ‘raint-ton’ as the say in New England dialect, & I had to take a group of younger campers down the very long road. After about an hour or two of walking down a steep road mile after mile my legs were in serious pain.

Unless you’re totally illiterate or English isn’t your native language, A Chapter a Day is hardly a challenge. Heck, on Wisconsin Public Radio they used to read it to you every day on a show of that very name.

I know, right? I mean, EVERYONE is surrounded by people who’ve “run Boston” like SO many times that the 26.2 mile course is completely common knowledge. Geez, get with it ya daft old bat!

Now I have to go back and re-read “Cuckoo’s Nest” to see what’s in that “ultra-short chapter” that Caulfield read over and over, but I think I already know and I don’t wanna…

Doing the same thing over and over again is a sign of science not insanity.

Hi Jef. I’m glad that you found a worthy buyer for your car. I could not have afforded to buy it whatever the price. My sincere Happy Labor Day wishes to you and Patty.
