In Corpus Christi we could go sailing, biking, (and mowing the lawn) all year long. There was one year my tomato plants never died. They went dormant for December, but by the end of January I was picking tomatoes again.
I move very slowly when it gets above 80°F. Fall & Spring go fast. A good winter (lots of snow) can go by pretty quickly too, but the last two have been really lame.
For me, it’s Summer that moves far too slowly! Thanks to global warming, our upper Illinois Summers now start before Memorial Day & end towards the end of September!!! We’ve had to have the A/C on twice already!!!
Not true on either count. Age makes some people move slower, doing some things, and time speeds up. You, too, will be old some day, Mr. Mallet, if you live long enough. And then, you will actually be as smart as you think you are.
The older people get the more they realize that life is too short to waste the few years they have left freezing their keisters in winter or getting rained out of their recreation in what is supposed to be summer.

So that’s why winter seems to last ages and summer flies by.

Two speeds: slow and slower

It becomes harder to keep up with time when it’s moving faster.

Iguanas fall out of trees when it gets too cold, unlike old people.

Kid’s comment makes no sense to me. Wait until what? Until they die?

went through a number of falling iguana alerts this past year…they can reach 5 feet long and like 15 pounds…kind of funny…but also not

I’m old and retired, I’m staying in the Chicago area. I wouldn’t even visit Florida if you put a gun to my head.

But if time passes more quickly when you’re old, then summer is gone faster too. Bummer.
I’ve been in Florida a few times. I’ll stay in the Northeast till my time is done, thanks very much.

And another bad assumption. Time does not move faster as we age.

Frazz could explain about how old people really feel the cold more than young people do. But he won’t. What a hero!

If you really want time to move slower, try traveling closer to the speed of light.

Time doesn’t change speed. People’s perceptions of it does.
