A kid that’s embarrassed by her parent. Things are normal.

This should a caulfield moment?

Does dad wear argyle socks with his sandals or have outstandingly ugly feet?

So does burning the sandals.

You do have sunglasses for the blinding white legs, right?

Summer is sandals time. Lots and lots of people wear them. Unless he’s wearing socks with them, he’s good to go. And I don’t even care about the socks.

How are sandals worse than clogs

It’s the painted toenails that tend to be the final straw.

What’s the whining about sandals? I’ll bet when she gets out of school for the summer she’ll be in sandals. Or does she feel she’s above that? Does her dad have six toes on one foot and four on the other? I’m a couple of years from retiring from manufacturing. When I do I just might retire from wearing footwear.

Nothing wrong with sandals whatsoever.

Clogs are at the other end of the nothing-wrong/what are you thinking‽ spectrum.

Living in the moment or not, it still disappears…

Getting mad about how other people dress (even your parents) is a loser move that reveals you as feebleminded and judgemental, just someone to be avoided whenever possible.

You can tell they’re back east, here in San Diego it would be flip flops. They are usually worn about 9 month of the year.

Yep. Matthew 6:34 — “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

It is interesting how at one time, I used to feel concerned about some of the “fashion faux-pas” that went the rounds about various things. But, having lived seeing d@mn near everything go “into” and “out of” style over the years, I have joined the ranks of simply wearing what I like now. Sometimes I “gussy” myself up…. I tend to view that as being rather tweed-focused in my rendering, and other times I go the other direction. I tend to like cotton, “Hawaiian print” style button down shirts in the Summer, with cargo-pant shorts and sandals to match….. and I SOMETIMES even wear socks with the sandals. :)

And, long live white sneakers in my wardrobe!

Some kids were born brats.

Is she saying that clogs are a gateway shoe?

I do hope that one of the “improvements” to be debuted on All Fools Days is a button for opening all the threads in one go.

Threading would also be nice, but that is too much to hope for.

I get a pedicure once a month and since I am in Arizona and depending on if I will do a lot of walking I wear sandals, not clogs or Crocs, sandals. I do have Plantar Fasciitis so those are fewer than when I wear shoes. Men who wear sandals with toe nails that can catch fish or mice should stick to wearing shoes imo.

It’s spring! I’m so excited I wet my plants.
