Bears love sweets! It is not unusual for hunters to lure bears with doughnuts. This is legally done in some cases, and not, in others. I believe it is illegal to bait bears during the hunting season, but legal to leave them treats to habituate them to visit an area during the rest of the year, in some places. Of course, this only works if there are already bears in the area. Otherwise, you just get ants.
