I thought Garfield just automatically ate anything that was in front of him, barring spinach and raisins.

Despite this being a cartoon, in the real world, a cat’s intestines are not long enough to properly process vegetables. Therefore they are obligate carnivores.

If Jon walked up to me and said he will play his accordion, I would be scared too.

Hmm. I quite enjoy vegetables, as well as the work of Dick Contino, Myron Floren, etc. Now if Jon came out threatening to play fusion records, that might be a different story. But I’d still eat the broccoli!

How about that? Jon actually was able to win against Garfield for a change in quite a while.

Jon could still take it up a notch by breaking out his bagpipes.

Even the most skilled players of that instrument remind me of someone sexually abusing a cat.
