Bigger problem, how long would those 12,000 AA batteries last? If it takes longer to insert all those batteries than it will take the robot to run them dry, then you might just want to think about a new power source…
In a past life I worked as an engineer on a small electric plane project. Disposable batteries have a better power/weight ratio and we seriously discussed linking thousands together for a preliminary flight
Don’t send Igor to IKEA, then. They just discontinued selling their generally reliable AA and AAA batteries and replaced them with rechargeable-only ones that come with a – you guessed it- battery charger. At ten times the price of what the batteries alone cost. Ah, inflation…..
I’d love to see the design specs just for the battery compartment. And I wonder how big it has to be to accommodate that many AA batteries — that must be some giant robot!

You’d need roughly 166 72-packs of AA batteries from Costco and US$3360.

That’s 18,000 volts, or 1,500 car batteries. Maybe he should get a generator…
