Garfield is looking for a vitamin “proven in clinical trials” that will give you muscle tone and take weight off (regardless of how much you eat) while you sleep. Don’t you see the ads on television, Jon? But wait, call in now and we’ll double the supply.
Notice there is never a mention of the credentials of those running the “clinical trials.”
Richard Simmonds died recently at 76. Meanwhile Mick Jagger, 81, can still strut across the stage like a kid half his age. I say live like a rock star. You have all of eternity to rest.
Eat right, exercise and still die. Yep that is what Jim Fixx did, he was one of the people who invented jogging. Wrote a best-selling book about running and, ironically, died of a heart attack at the age of 52 years while Running! Exercise till you die.
Cats are a bad example for humans. Their physiology can maintain good muscle tone with a minimum of exercise and sleeping 16 hours per day. Humans cannot.

Does anyone think Jon Arbuckle is like a father to Garfield and Odie?

I think Jon is projecting his insecurities.

Healthy is just a slower way to die.

Eat, sleep, excercise and buy Garfield merch

Eat what smells good; your body is telling you that you need the nutrients therein.
Regarding exercise, forget it. If you don’t use it, it won’t wear out.

I like Garfield’s approach.

Really, the only exercise Garfield has ever gotten is chasing the ice cream truck or running away from vicious dogs that he teases.

Jon, you forget that when you tell Garfield he needs to get in shape, that Garfield already knows that round is a shape.

Yeah, it’s all a scam by Big Health. I wouldn’t trust them any further than I could . . . run.

Today, August 1st, I started my course of Phentermine/Topiramate (diet drug(s) that simulate being “full”).
I’ll keep you informed, but for the moment, I’m standing in front of the mirror waiting for the pounds to drop off.
No, actually, I’m off to the shed where the dreadmill awaits . . .
