Ew. Especially as it took Walt for-ev-er to get serious about Phyllis (“I know when I’m well off!”), I don’t care for this scene at all. Yes, please, let’s hurry back to the tribute – and don’t look back.
As of this writing, it’s late in the day on Sunday the 14th, and there is no sign of the Sunday installment of this strip as of yet. Hope everything is okay…..
Comics Kingdom had a Sunday strip for Pluggers, Shoe and Gasoline Alley – so ALL of those strips are still being published SOMEWHERE – but – for some odd reason – NOT at Go Comics!

By the way, that’s Officer Bull Pupp, from “Krazy Kat.” ✨

Peggy Lee, the singer, was born in 1920. This person in the strip is not her. The strip’s Peggy Lee said she started reading Gasoline Alley in 1918.

Why? Did Walt throw a brick at her?

Pretty good depiction of “Offisa” Pupp, but not his comment. Not in character. Too prosaic.\
