I believe Gil has a legitimate contract grievance. Of course, maybe he works without a contract, like all his “volunteer” assistance coaches.

So it’s been ages since Gil’s last football practice, eh? Wonder if Holly would notice if Gil just brought in the stunt double he uses for practice and have HIM go in front of the camera.

Gil looking a bit like Gilbert Gottfried while pleading his case to Granny Clampett in P1.

P3: Dora, “It’s been ages since my last visit to the Milford showers but it’s all still familiar.”Gil, “Except for that guy with the camera and the fact that I’m married now. That guy’s really c_ _ _ blocking me!”

Why would the drama teacher have been going to football practice in the first place? Or now? Does the band director hang out at the tennis team practices? Does the soccer coach just show up for debate team?

Well I hope the superintendent is happy, because State Champion Gil ThorP is not happy, and you don’t want to see State Champion Gil ThorP when he’s not happy. (Truth be known, though, most of the football season anymore we don’t see State Champion Gil ThorP)

No, no Gil you have to pretend there’s nobody standing there with a camera and just act natural, like all those other in all reality shows.

I realize that teachers’ unions are a favorite whipping boy these days, and I don’t know if Milford HS has one, but it seems some sort of collective action by the staff is called for.

Welcome to “Grim Reality”. Coach is it Tru that your team this year is so pathetic the Linemen are the “cool” kids on the team? Well, Boo to that. Tell your skill players “sprinkles are for winners”.

Those first two panels beg the question: did she/he go through a sex change since yesterday? Looks like an old man today in these two panels.

Please, please let Gil go all Frank Kush and make for some exciting “Hard Knocks High School.” Gil figures if he can’t be blurred he will be bleeped, and proceeds to spew wanton and creative porno profanity at Holly. Ratings soar of course; Gil gets an invite from Urban, drives up to Columbus for a tour of the facilities. When Urban leaves for the Indy Colts, Gil could be the guy to coach Ohio State. Tru can transfer, and the new strip ( to accept the fact that it is 2015 – Jack Berrill, rip ) can have Gil cavorting with cheerleaders. You clever guys can name the new strip.

Somebody just sent me this. Yankee fan or not you have to love this stuff..NEW YORK – Some of the more widely quoted philosophy of Yogi Berra, the New York Yankees Hall of Fame catcher who died Tuesday at age 90:

On his approach to at-bats: “You can’t think and hit at the same time.”

On selecting a restaurant: “Nobody goes there anymore. It’s too crowded.”

On economics: “A nickel ain’t worth a dime anymore.”

On the 1973 Mets: “We were overwhelming underdogs.”

On how events sometimes seem to repeat themselves “It’s deja vu all over again!”

On baseball attendance: “If people don’t come to the ballpark, how are you gonna stop them?”

On a slipping batting average: “Slump? I ain’t in no slump. … I just ain’t hitting.”

On travel directions: “When you come to a fork in the road take it.”

On pregame rest: “I usually take a two-hour nap from 1 to 4.”

On battling the shadows in left field at Yankee Stadium: “It gets late early out there.”

On fan mail: “Never answer an anonymous letter.”

On being told he looked cool: “You don’t look so hot yourself.”

On being asked what time it was: “You mean now?”

On being given a day in his honor: “Thank you for making this day necessary.”

On a spring training drill: “Pair off in threes.”

On his approach to playing baseball: “Baseball is 90 percent mental. The other half is physical.”

On death: “Always go to other people’s funerals. Otherwise they won’t go to yours.”

On learning: “You can observe a lot by watching.”

On his team’s diminishing pennant chances: “It ain’t over `till it’s over.”

On the fractured syntax attributed to him: “I really didn’t say everything I said.”

What incredible detail on the drawing of the video camera. Compared, you know, to every other thing in the strip.
