P3, Hmm, a Tampa Bay hat? Has Tru improbably become Brady’s backup or did he wash out at Wake Forest and decide to take money from the Rays to pitch? Stay tooned.
So much speculation with True’s hat. He’s not the kind of guy to wear his professional baseball cap in public, self promoting himself. I agree/disagree Mr. Schnobb. True True signed with the Tampa Bay Rays. But he’s playing single A ball for the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
In all reality , the TB hat is a promotional hat given away by Tidy Bowl. True intrudes himself as the proud owner of the Milford Rotto Rooter franchise .
Partial credit for my prediction, they “ran into” Tru(e), but I was really hoping for a physical collision. Phoebe, you really shouldn’t be pounding Cokes for breakfast, can’t be good for you.
And speaking of good, I do not have today’s Mopped Up Thorp yet (the MSN site where I’m currently getting the color version doesn’t post it until 10am), but I do have a special comic. It’s Gil Thorp 2056! See what happens when our pals finally age.

I’m going to be gone most of the day, so the new MUT won’t be out until this evening.
Tru(e) is in town splashing some of his huge signing bonus. He became a sensation when he cut off his own fingers and began to throw the unhittable pitch now called The Truth. He’s changing his name to Mordecai, and is taking driving lessons.
I still have not been able to get a color version of Saturday’s strip. MSN for some reason never loaded it (they updated other strips yesterday), and I can’t get anything to appear at the azcentral or seattlepi sites. So I went with the old black and white for one day. Maybe I can replace it Monday. Or not. Anyway, here’s an antique style Mopped Up Thorp.

Just noticed Phoebe’s head motion lines in P3. I guess that means she recognizes Tru(e) and on Monday will ask him what he’s doing here. And maybe the big plan for Tru(e) will be revealed. Hopefully he’s helping Gil out at MCC. Although considering Gil shows up for work there less than he does at Milford High, I’m not sure what Tru(e) will be doing.
