Thank gawrd those days are gone.

“Do you smoke after sex?” “I dunno…I never looked.”

Certainly not!

… as the Big Guy casually taps his cigarette ash on the Little Guy’s sandwich, “Okay by me, Squirt.”

He should definitely say a prayer before he eats.

As a former smoker I sure enjoy smoke free areas.

I saw a sign in a restaurant, “If we see you smoking, we will assume you are on fire and take the appropriate action.”

Make people stop smoking in public places? That’s woke. It’s cancelling culture. It interferes with our personal freedoms. What does the government think? Are we a bunch of sheep? Are we just going to stand by and let them take our freedoms away? Which one of our fundamental rights will “Big Government” take away from us next? (Sounds like something Tucker Carlson would have said – in fact, he did say it, but it was about masks and not smoking).

Sometimes cancelling culture is a good thing.

In my youth, I dated a “YO Vinny” type and he always had a cigarette burning in a disgusting ashtray while eating…I had to speak up….that was the last straw.

Better safe than sorry.

Before there were even non-smoking sections, if you asked to be seated away from the smokers, the next patron that came in was seated right next to you – and they smoked.

I have been known to extinguish cigarettes when the smoke kept following me. The owners of the wet cigarettes wanted to beat me but realized I didn’t care and victory was not assured.

Hint, hint!

As a former smoker I find this toon offensive. No I find it funny!

Steve Martin had a great bit about smoking in confined spaces.

“Do you mind if I smoke?”

“Why no. Mind if I fart?”

There was more but you get the idea.

I know people who would take a drag, then take a bite to eat, then take a drag, then take a bite to eat until the meal was gone. I smoked but I waited until I finished my meal before I lit up. Thank goodness those days ended 14 years ago.
