My neighbor brags about his porch camera with very sensitive audio. I make it a point to walk my dog in front of his house as I sing ribald ditties.

Such a Cheshire Cat grin can be seen as creepy.

I wave at the doorbell cameras when I’m delivering.

And if it has a mic, you’re snagged…

As if they can’t hear you too.

It’s not like they’re going to do a screen grab of your picture, Leroy. Then again, maybe they will, use it for a target, or, something like that.

As they turn around and run with the bottle of booze they stole off the porch.

Well look who’s wearing a tie with his suit! You hardly ever see that in this strip.

Doorbell cameras can be revealing and useful. But sometimes you see and hear things you find disheartening from your guests at the door.

The coolest thing mine has picked up is an ag sprayer plane passing by at 50 yards from my porch.

Most doorbell cameras are in obvious places by the door, a friend of mine’s neighbor across the street got robbed and the local PD noticed she had one and asked if they could have the video. The robbers were bold, robbing the house in the late afternoon and they had a van, they cased that house and knew what they were doing.

And you want them to think you go around smiling at nothing.

That’s how my dad looked Walking to the house after the brakes on his car failed. He had to pull over to the side of the street instead of the driveway and nearly crashed.. When I asked him why he was smiling after such a horrific experience he said he didn’t want the neighbors to see him upset.

Make them wonder who you are.
