The irony of taking classes to develop confidence in Psych, when you can’t seem to…develop you confidence in Psych….

Sort of like the fly fisher at the docks, when everyone else holds up their "trophies"… a lot of “pier pressure”…..

I don’t think that being a psych major is really for Bernice, she was much happier, when she wanted to be a vet.

She needs to get rid of the scarf and put a foot back into reality.

Interesting! Notwithstanding all her smarts, Bernrice needs to jump into the pool with her eyes closed. Luann has actually had a good one already & seems none the worse for it by now.

Bern, we comedians have a saying: “Dying is easy. Comedy is hard.”

Not to be picky, just observant. In Friday’s strip, Bernice was wearing a plain, blue scarf. Polka dots, or some such thing have been added. Not that it matters; I’m just sayin’

Bernice is fine, it’s Luann who needs a new haircut. She’s had the same look since she was 14. I don’t know any woman who’s kept the same hairstyle she had as a young teenager.

There seems to be a lack of male characters worthy of dating in this strip. I mean, now Luann is thinking of going out with that moose of a guy from her art class. Bring back Aaron Hill!

It was always going to be Luann and Gunther. Bernice’s fella is still on the horizon.

I don’t understand why he refuses to spice up the action and make it true 2016. We have an adult comic strip. Why can’t Bernice follow her heart and hook up with a nice young lady? Why can’t Gunther meet a nice boy and settle down? Fix up LuAnn with a massive African American dreamboatnis. To me, an obvious pairing is Ox and Gunther. Have them discover each other.

I still wonder where Greg E is taking Bernice, Gunther, and Tiffany. Bernice is the only one who doesn’t seem to have any self awareness from her interactions. Gunther had a fling in Peru. His new look reflects the change. Tiffany delved into the world of other-centerdness and self reflection with Gunther.

Aside from changing her look from 70’s feminist to millennial feminist she hasn’t moved. Gunther’s been trying for a Ber hookup since at least 2004 see 3/16/2004 in archives). Time to bail buddy.

I still think a Gunther-Tiffany & Bernice-Quill hookups would be dramatic. And for Luann? She still has Aaron Hill. Remember him? If Aaron Hill were to drop from the sky? Or pop up at the wedding as a caterer or some such. Luann’s world would explode. :o)

I really liked today’s effort.

A twisted view into the future just for laffs:

Brad was in trouble.

He forgot his wedding anniversary. Toni was really angry. She told him, “Tomorrow morning I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less then 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!”

The next morning Brad got up early and left for the fire station. When Toni woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, Toni put on her robe and ran out to the driveway and brought the box back in the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

.

Brad has been missing for a few days now.

Bernice is learning, albeit slowly. Someone needs to throw her headfirst into the pond, so to speak.

So many people keep making references to things like Gunther had been doing whatever since 2004’ etc. Sometimes, as GREG himself has stated, an entire week of strips might go by that in the story universe has taken all of a 3 minutes of conversation. Which is why we see characters take a long time to change, if at all.

Bernice, start learning the Dewey Decimal System.

Happy Halloween Everybody! BOO! (humbug)

Our public libraries are heavily used by poor and rich alike. Some like the architecture, some the exhibits, many use the computers and computer training classes, others like the “frills” such as movie screenings and author presentations. Just last week I even ran into a class from France.

My wife, a retired 2nd grade teacher, is upset that cursive writing is becoming obsolete because of the computer. Everyone prints, uses email shorthand, and has trouble reading cursive writing.

There’s nothing hotter than an attractive women with her act together. You g Bernice!

The greatest danger for sad-sack Bernie is that is she is beginning to accept herself as being a perpetual loser. If she gives up hope, all is lost.

Bernice must stop acting and looking like the cover girl for Celibacy Monthly. Nothing sexist about looking nice, she wouldn’t want a guy to be smelling like a goat.

What happened to Bernice?! She used to have her act together while Luann was all over the place. Now Bernice is fraying at the edge…why? Maybe she is learning she doesn’t have to be “perfect” to be a successful college student? Change can be very traumatic…
