Bernice is, if anything, at least consistent…

    -

Maintaining the perimeter, for the traversing of the hay and livestock shelter, commonly regarded as belonging to a one “Robin The Cowled Crusader And All Around Archery Legend”, instead of choosing the straight and divergent path intersecting the innermost section of said shelter, in a ‘radius-like’ fashion…   All she really had to do, was go straight through Robin Hood’s barn,  instead of all around it….

Does Greg Evans remember that this strip is named “Luann”? She’s either not in the strips or at most in a supporting role, ie. maid of honor at Brad & Toni’s wedding, advising Prudence to beware of Leslie’s interest. Does she even have a storyline these days?

In the last panel, there is a hint as to who really is responsible for the disappearance of the TV.

Bernice is the definition of drama queen. Why is the question. I want to address two things I that need addressing: first, the nature of Luann is that it is a rich tapestry of character development that takes some time to develop, and each main character will come in and out in that development. It took years for the Toni and Brad arch to play out for example. So complaining that the arc drags out is just a statement that the commentator does not understand how this strip works. The second thing I want to address is why Luann is not always in the strip. Lincoln said something on the order that one can’t make everyone happy at the same time. Some complain when she is in the strip too much, and others when she is not in the strip a lot. If you read the description of the strip, this is about a whole universe, Luannverse, where the main characters are developing their own separate and related arcs. It definitely is always “about” Luann, she is the star, the central character. I find it refreshing that this strip is so non-2 dimensional with the characters being the same variations on the same theme. Not that those are bad, but this is different, which makes it very interesting.

Hair (who also uses scarves) was moving his drum set and accidentally knocked over the TV, breaking the stand. It’s now upside down in his dorm room, waiting for the glue to set. He might have it back before Bern and MS Lopez get back.

Now, you can rule this scenario out, because I never have a clue as to where this comic is going.

@Mordy: I’m puzzled by your logic on the issue of who might be a suspect. After all, Bernice didn’t question Piro about the TV at all, but she immediately suspected him because of a scarf (and without knowing whose scarf). So, if you assume that she suspects anyone she talks to about the missing TV, that should mean she suspects Dez (even though she knows Dez was most likely not on campus when the TV went missing). After all, Bernice first talked to Dez about the TV. She is only now talking to Director Lopez.

    .

On another topic, I wonder why Greg has an in-box in Director Lopez’s office? Hmm…

@BCR131: You must not read any US mystery fiction. A person reporting a crime is almost always the automatic suspect. As a wanna-be writer, I’ve attended enough seminars with published mystery writers to learn that they get that from reading actual crime files…

@Chain Gang Charlie: Read your comment about how you find Luann boring by herself. Well, luckily for you, there are many, many other ‘toons on GoComics that you can read, and you don’t have to subject yourself to something you find boring! I would say it’s been nice reading your posts and not to let the door slam on you as you leave, but I’m sure you’d find that boring…

It Greg didn’t write these strips 6-8 weeks in advance I would swear we were all flies on his wall , making our assumptions/ observations and he was listening to us. Seriously, he probably knew that most of us would suggest logical observations and he is playing us like a fish on the line. Or possibly great minds think alike. On a different note: has anyone thought that Moony university maybe be a " cash cow" for someone? Sorry, guess I had to milk it for all it’s worth. And that’s not just the calf of it or being bullheaded. Sorry but a talent so rare should be well done. Didn’t A & C once joke abut a cow’s udder. then then C says the cows udder what?

@SDog: Sure would be fun to get a chance to read whatever is in Greg’s in-box. That could spin off into a lot of different arcs. Maybe a letter from Rosa, asking to return?

@ARGY.BARGY2: Or, it could be a letter from Rosa asking someone to tell Gunther to pick her up from Pitts International Airport on February 14 at 2:30 P.M. She said to make her easy to spot, she will be wearing a red jacket and the little curly – haired boy with her will be wearing a red jacket, too.

Bernice wants to be on top of everything, to always have the solution. In her mind, she’s the responsible one… the super overachiever mentality. Last time she was in Ms. Lopez’s office she was acting like that. So now she feels like she has failed, as if her lack of oversight caused all of this.
