I am reading this as the N word being “no” because of the Rogan sign in the background. Perhaps alluding to the label of the “cancel culture” that they are trying to pin on the white Dems…ignoring what they just did to two of their own in pursuit of party unity and political discourse.
Lester must be the president of the White Republican Hypocrites Club. Don’t let McConnell and Romney steal your reelection from you, Mike.
So… It’s OK to say “N-Word”, but not the “N”-Word.
Growing up in northern New Jersey in the 50’s, I was 8 before I saw my first person of color. I thought she was some sort of princess (actually, she was a legal secretary). I agree with the song from South Pacific “You’ve Got to Be Carefully Taught”.
I embrace our cultural differences. Treat everyone fairly, with kindness. ’Nuff said!
There’s a lot of hypocrisy out there – attacks and criticism and attempted cancellation of people for things they’ve said or done, sometimes recently and sometimes years ago. But those same folks stand silent about the same or similar things done by those they approve of. Mr. Lester chose one issue that’s been out there recently (i.e. Joe Rogan) to illustrate this. I think that’s the job of a political cartoonist.
A 1985 video of Joe Biden has resurfaced taken during the nomination of William Bradford Reynolds as U.S. deputy attorney general. Biden didn’t have to say the n word but he did twice. They were out of context exactly like Joe Rogan’s, citing the use of the n-word that was spoken by somebody else.
Who among the readers here will dismiss Biden as a racist and will give him tons of excuses but will still insist that Rogan is not welcome in the N-WORD Club?
If there’s an “N” word, then ALL derogatory racial words should be represented by its own letter. Would probably be confusing when words shared a letter.
Or, maybe the “sticks and stones” rhyme I was taught as a child when dealing with name calling would be appropriate.
If you don’t like a label that someone applies to your racial characteristics, then don’t use it in casual conversions with others that share those same characteristics. And for Pete’s sake, don’t glorify it in song…
Joe Biden says the n-word (hard r) twice in three seconds. Using the same logic that the people trying to cancel Rogan are, it does not matter the context in which it is said. He must resign immediately.

You misspelled “Republican.”

Yep. That will be the next “ID Card” everyone will be “required” to carry. Not white? Not welcome.

Huh? I don’t get this at all. (And I’m kinda glad about that)

Actually, it’s more likely the Dems would be black. I know black ministers that think the N-word is theirs to use as they see fit.

A comic that stretches the truth can be funny. One based on a lie is propaganda. This is the latter.

Rogan claimed it was taken out of context, but I’m trying to figure out what the correct context would be for the n-word. :-|
