My best girl and I have sampled lots of restaurant fare over the decades. Rare really good ones, average for most, and some dogs. The differences can make eating out more of a trial than a pleasure. We’ll stay with home cooking that we can do together and know the results beforehand. Might not match up to haut cuisine, but it works for us.
I’m one of those people who has never liked eating in restaurants. I’d much rather get the food to go and eat in the comfort of my own home. So, with curbside pickup readily available, I’m doing just fine—foodwise, anyway.
I get curb side pickup take out at least as often as I used to eat at the restaurants, and I still tip. Maybe more often since one of the restaurants is offering frozen versions of their pasties so I buy a bunch and stock up the freezer.

Restaurant dinning is overrated AND fast food is even worse! Besides, look at all that money you’ll save by eating at home…

If you were important, you could get an indulgence.

My wife likes to cook and we used to eat out only once a week.
We now make it a point to take in at least once a week to keep some of our favorite places going.

If it has only been 40 masks ago then she’s been a slacker or is a converted no masker.
