You hear a lot about viruses, maleware, ransomeware and other nefarious software. However, the most effective means of compromising people’s “confidential” information is social engineering. People are duped into providing personal information. Fortunately, most of these traps are amateurish.

If your bank or credit card company contacts you by email, call them back on a number you know is good. I have a “garbage” account I use to “register” with certain sites. And no, Microsoft or “Windows” does not monitor your computer for viruses, so if you get a phone call stating so, hang up.

and “Surprise, surprise, surprise” You are so totally invested in Trumps lies that yes, you actually believe in Trumps “Deep State” lie. All this despite the oh so obvious facts that have come out proving beyond any shadow of doubt that the FBI favored Trump-see Comey going against FBI/DOJ policy about interfering with elections-by telling everyone about reopening the HRC case-which turned into a nothing burger. then we have the NYC FBI office passing anti Clinton information to Trump spokespeople. Ad if in fact the FBI really was anti Trump? Why didn’t they tell the news about the FBI investigation into Trump? A real active investigation into Trump campaign and Russia. They didn’t breathe a single word, not even the senior FBI agent that Trump hounded out of the agency. Yet, you believe, without any actual proof or reason, that the FBI is pro Democrat. Amazing how Trump believers can not only refuse to accept facts but can actually build a massive edifice out of falsehoods and just plain lies. Misdirection, every bit of it. And it works, because the MSM is also invested in keeping Trump in office. No, the MSM is not “libral” as the Party of Trump republicans whine. It is quite a bit right of center. But, but, but what about all that “fake news” they put out. Well, if you were paying attention you would have noticed that other than right wing media, which refuses to ever admit being wrong, the MSM actually issues “Corrections” when they print incorrect “facts” in their rush to always be first.Right wing media? They never do, starting with Trumps favorite, the Fox Opinion Network program, Fox and friends.

““Falling down the rabbit hole” was originally used to mean stumbling into a bizarre, disorienting alternate reality.” Using Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” as the basis of “Voter’s Adventures in Trumpland”, would make an excellent story arc.
