She’s running with a fire extinguisher and he just sits there.

I like all of Mr Miller’s work but when we get a week of stories about Danae & Lucy or Cap’n Eddie it makes my week a little better!

Kate’s great! Too bad she’s not in many of the new strips.

She wouldn’t last a day where I work. Nowadays we have to complete a safety hazard review and have it approved anytime we want to implement a new experimental procedure.

You always have to push it past its limit, so you know where the limit is.

Remember, the difference between science and screwing around is whether you take notes on what you did and what happened.

If he’s ever invited to a cocktail party. Do those even exist any more or just in old movies?

Maybe Danae has made the discovery that Mogen David wine bottles are not suitable for heating liquids, and that a kitchen stovetop burner does not serve well as a laboratory Bunsen Burner. (Personal experience, long ago)

She is always discovering and learning:

She just discovered and learned another thing not to do (again)

    We’re living in an age

    Where limitations are forgotten

The outer edges move and dazzle us

But the core is something rotten

And we’re standing on the precipice

    Of prejudice and fear

We trust science just as long

As it tells us what we want to hear

We want our truths all fair and balanced

As long as our notions lie within it

There’s no sunlight in our a***s

And our heads are stuck up in it

And our heroes may be rapists

Who watch us while we dream

But don’t look to me for answers

‘Cause we don’t know what it means

    - Patterson Hood “What it Means”

I would have drawn Danae’s hair “explosion style” like Inspector Clouseau when the bomb went off.

No. No. Be of good cheer. If science teaches us anything, it teaches us to accept our failures, as well as our successes, with quiet dignity and grace.

Quote from Young Frankenstein by Dr. Frankenstein after first failing to raise the creature.
