Even though the lady has silk blouse tastes, Henry could at least offer to replace her pair of shoes since she wears the same pair of pirate boots as the pirates wear.

I always wear my silk shirts with my jogging pants; outside in the heat. We know sweat does not affect silk.

Just get the colorist to paint over it and no one will know the difference.

Silk handwashes but then many types of it need steam ironing—which not only irons it but brings the shine back. Even wild silk (ie silk from oak moths rather than mulberry) which has more of a cotton and matte texture to it will pick up a little shine with a steam ironing. Careful not to overdo, though; all silk scorches easily, so keep the temp low. Silk dupioni is created by having pairs of silk worms criss-crossing as they spin their cocoons (one reason why it’s expensive) so it’s not particularly soft but it’s less likely to need to be ironed and it’s a strong fabric. Keep silk out of the dryer, though—it’s weak when it’s wet and that’s too much friction against the fibers, it’ll age it fast.
