If Sylvia were there, she could sew up the hole over her mother. But that would be mattress-cide.

Is Opal like Goldilocks? This bed is (way) too soft.

Her response is a little bit (too) soft (also), “Maybe (?) something a little bit (?) firmer.”

[Okay – maybe her words were not too soft – just overly kind (since it is so obviously “too soft”).]

Good basis for a horror movie, “The mattress that ate the lady”! or “What happened to the slumber party girls”?

Got one of those adjustable bases, greatest thing ever. I could never get a pillow that was just the right height for me or would stay the same thickness. Now I just have to click till I have the right position. Great for reading in bed too.

I know it’s the fold of his shirt; but in the first two panels, it looks like Earl had an encounter with Zorro!

Earl likes it! He wants a firm one for himself, though.

We have a very firm futon with a 3" memory foam topper. Comfortable without the sinking feeling.

You have to change memory foam mattresses after a several years. They develop a mattress form of Alzheimer’s disease and start losing their “memory”.

Best mattress was my waterbed. Once you got the amount of water and the temperature dialed in it was great, for one person, then I got married and it didn’t work quite as well.

My hubby never go for that soft pf a mattress. I remember when I was a kid our dad had to go to Seattle, WA we lived in a different state thousand miles away, to work at Boeing, our mom got word an uncle had passed on her side, the aunt was in the hospital with a stroke, and we went to their house with family there, we girls got to sleep on a heavenly soft bed and we really enjoyed that, last time we got to do that. That aunt was concerned we was not being taken care of. For the uncle’s funeral no directions given but our dad found it. Disorganized funeral line. That was back in the 60’s. All before GPS. He was given the funeral home.

My 6’ 4" 300 lb pop (RIP) went through a series of mattresses for some reason, and I suggested one that pumped up and a gas station compressor and tank.

We have a foam mattress and I love it. Before that, I had a waveless water bed for 30+ years. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
