“Map” instead of “GPS” going across or down another answer in said puzzle sure is going to cause a lot of confusion.

How about “gas”? Or “key”? Or “oil”? Or “air”?

The correct answer is AAA. The best driver’s aid there is.’

Me thinks most Pluggers would figure that out ;-)

What I have the most trouble with is the new shows & actors. It even harder with all the reboots when I don’t know if they mean the original portrayer or the “imposter” who is now in the role.

Maps are better for planning, but the GPS knows where you are.

I like TEE.

GPS is an abbreviation for global positioning system, so not a good crossword answer.

I’ve emitted a few “cross words” when a puzzle caused me such troubles…

I still have paper maps in the car side door compartment… just as back up I suppose.

I’m 66 & I use treeware maps because I like seeing the big picture. I look up new places on Apple (or Google) Maps & print them out. GPS is too much like trying to navigate through a porthole. OTOH, my mom (86 on Saturday) swears by OnStar. Guess I’m the plugger!

Crossword puzzles use terms we “pluggers” do not know thwt is the meaning of this "toon.
