In reality, a burger pretty much does cover all the food groups….

As a plugger on a diet, I limit myself to an Impossible burger with lettuce, avocado and mushrooms, and take off half the bread. Still tastes good. Fries—-just a few sweet potato ones. PS: The greatest fries ever are the “chips” in England!

A burger is much more nutritious than the average salad. But just like the salad, you wouldn’t want to eat it for every meal. Moderation in all things.

True. It’s the mountain of starch (fries) and bucket of sugar (soda) that do you in.

A former coworker ordered a veggie burger while in Kansas. Yep, cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato.

Remember when they claimed that ketchup should be claimed as a vegetable on nutrition labels?

Sigh, I just discovered that I have become – suddenly – very intolerant of any beef whatsoever. I can’t have even the least little bit of a good steak much less a good juicy hamburger. I react much like someone with a severe lactose intolerance. But without the benefit of a Lactaid-like equivalent. :o( I knew I had to watch the quality, amount and frequency of consumption recently, but apparently I have reached the threshold. I was hoping not to reach this point so fast. Sigh. I don’t want to be that sick again.

My ex used to make fun of my Big Macs as “salad burgers.”
