    good to know

(Speaking of britches, why did Baloo nickname Mowgli “Little Britches” in The Jungle Book and Kit Cloudkicker the same in Tale Spin when the former wore nothing but some kind of Indian underwear and the latter didn’t even wear britches?)

If the plugger puts on his britches first, he may not even be able to see the belt loops. The obstruction is not a thing of beauty like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

That’s the best way to put my holster in place.

I knew what britches are but I have no idea why you’d need to install the belt first.

So, Plugger status 50% I guess?

PSA: For those who don’t know, britches are trousers.

Two more disqualifications for me: I put the belt in after putting my britches on and and can see the buckle. However, I do know breeches were often only knee-long.

It takes longer because you also have to thread your keys, phone and other EDC implements as you go loop to loop. Then, the suspenders to hold the whole rig up.

I’ve managed to stay skinny enough that my pants can be supported by my hip bones. To me belts are nothing more than optional pieces of decorative wear. I’ve forgotten to put one on many a time and never been aware of it until someone points it out.

Glad to know that there is at least one other guy from Maryville that reads this great comic!

Britches is a corruption of breeches, but the original breeches did not have belt loops or suspenders. Despite my rather Plugger-Like physique, my breeches stay put even after a long parade on the 4th of July or Patriots Day.

How can anyone see the belt loops with the pants pn ? You can do it by touch but even a youthful non-Plugger could miss a loop in the back.

Husband not only keeps the belt in the loops of his jeans, but also keeps everything he carries in his pockets in the pockets – he walks around the house complaining that his jeans are falling off – with at least 5 lbs of wallet, cell phone, keys, pill box, etc in his pockets. His jeans are put on a chair in the bedroom when he goes to sleep and put back on the next morning – even when we were not leaving the house other to get the mail at the front door, he kept all of this in his pockets – “what if there was a fire and we had to run out the door?”

And he constantly complains about how heavy his jeans are and how exhausting it is to wear them.

50 years of putting on your “Britches” believe me you know where your loopholes are, problem is they make “Britches” with less and less loopholes.
