Today the LED Christmas tree attached to the shed got put away. Flood lights back in operation. Sigh.

Just do what a friend of mine does. He leaves his trees (yes, plural!) up year round but changes the ornaments to reflect whatever the upcoming holiday is.

For being the time to take it down, that tree looks very good—-maybe it’s ‘artificial’ so that it looks good……..anytime ! ! !

If it’s artifical, leave it up!

I hate taking down the tree, cuz everything is so drab without the lights.

I like this one because you could read it as Chicken-Lady just now taking the tree down … or just now putting it up. “I mean, it’s a full five days after Epiphany! But I guess I should put the star up there just to finish the job.”

I have Christmas lights outside — they’ll stay up until the temperature is warmer, and the wind-chill isn’t in the single digits.

Didn’t even bother this year, not even with the old artificial. Christmas gets to be more of a spiritual celebration every year, anyway.

I leave mine up till February 2nd, the Feast of the Presentation (Candlemas Day). That’s the traditional end of the Christmas Season!

You don’t know my plugger. Dec 26, 8am, she’s dragging the boxes out.

Eventually, yes. But not today. No, not today….

I brought in most of the outside decorations before tonight’s snow. I left the penguins and polar bear because they look wintery.

I’ve made this most amazing discovery I can’t wait to share with y’all!

If you don’t put ‘em up, you don’t hafta take ’em down!

We took the lights off the front bushes (our outdoor lights) during last week as it was to snow and they are in the garage waiting to be packed up.

I will start taking down the main tree probably this weekend to make him happy.

I will then need to switch over the previously mentioned Teddy Village to Valentine’s.

I will also need to take down and store our other small trees inside. We have one in our studio which only has (part of) the ornaments we have made for ourselves over the years – some of same also on the main tree. In our dining room we have a small tree which holds the annual brass ornaments we receive from Colonial Williamsburg.

I also have a beaded tree I made but that is small – maybe a foot tall – and matching sized ornaments. It stores easily – slide into box, tape box closed and put away in basement.

I also have some Christmas figures – Santas, elves, etc – some of which I stitched, some gifts from someone husband worked with, etc. which get stored away in a LARGE box in the basement. One of the Santas is made of plastic and is husband’s from when he was a boy. One foot was broken off this Christmas when we took him out of the storage box. I sat and held his foot in place for about an hour – after husband glued it back on – to make sure it would be correct and stay attached when the glue was finished drying – he had been doing well. Will have to make sure he is stored safely this year.
