Veterans…still proud of your vote for the felon? Sleep well.. ramaswamay has plans to cut $160 billion from VA health care. And that is just the start!
Order the DoJ and the Pentagon to release their internal files from investigations of any trump Cabinet nominees: Gaetz, Hegseth, Kennedy, Gabbard. All in the interest of enabling the 2025 Senate’s Advise and Consent deliberations.
Plus the Mueller investigation — ALL readable, no redactions. All the Jack Smith reports and evidence. All other relevant evidence concerning his many crimes. And then arrest the traitor, for the sake of the nation. The oath is/was sworn to the constitution, not an individual.
The moment trump takes the oath of office he will have committed a disqualifying lie…swearing to, with a raised right hand, left hand on a bible and to the Chief Justice and the country, defend the constitution against foreign and domestic enemies and faithfully execute the laws of the U.S..
Biden is obligated by the same oath to prevent trump from taking office.
The facts against trump are well established in the public record. Any other citizen would have been incarcerated pending trial long ago and not allowed to run for office.
Biden must set the precedent that criminal foreign assets who stole natsec docs, passed natsec info to at least one foreign adversary and a foreign national and was found to have instigated an insurrection by a court, cannot ascend to the office of the president. This is far more important than worrying about “duly elected”, through massive disinformation, and “peaceful transfer of power”. Importantly, many trump voters are now regretting their vote.
Preventing trump from taking office would be a momentous act…to stabilize modern society, democratic alliances and the global economy, and allow us to continue the work to protect the planet & Ukraine, etc. This not a normal change of administration.
Better to deal with MAGA while we control law enforcement, the military and govt agencies. 2026 & 2028 may not offer optimal options.
According to the Supreme Court the current Presisdent could legally order such an obvious menace to our form of government executed, as part of his formal presidential duties. I’m not suggesting it, but it would be “legal” according to their recent decision.
Insurrection, assassination, suspension of Constitution, politically weaponization of police to incarcerated those who think differently. All suggestions made here because of election you didn’t like. Good job guys keep it up, bang up job so far.
His oath of office will be one he wrote. In lieu of “and support the Constitution of the United States” it will have “I will do away with the Constitution of the United States” or “I will subvert the Constitution of the United States at every turn”.
Every once and a while, I find myself in agreement with RobinHood. This is one of them.
We find ourselves in a true Catch-22.
To deny Trump the presidency in an election that he won, fair and square (we can argue the merits of that elsewhere), puts us exactly where we were 06-Jan-2021.
Nevertheless, everything said about Trump is true, from Hillary to Kamala.
From another website, my favorite comment, and it applies to us all:
„(Those who) chose Trump for their salvation…is like chickens looking to Colonel Sanders as their hero“.
Except we’re all chickens in this coop for the next four years.
So, why isn’t Biden using his presidential immunity to address this grave danger to our country? If it wasn’t obvious during 45’s administration, it sure was more than obvious since the insurrection what was going to happen. I blame the “elite” for allowing this to happen by adopting neoliberal economic policies decades ago and allowing propaganda media to flourish. I think we are beyond the tipping point. Good luck turning any of this around; in fact, Trump has been running a parallel shadow government since he lost in 2020 and NOTHING has been done about the damage he and his minions have created. Forget about trying to address this via rule of law as Trump owns it now. It would take a hot civil war to turn this around and only if the more progressive side was lucky to win it. Just my opinion.
The acts were mentioned by former president Donald Trump during a campaign rally held at Madison Square for the 2024 presidential election, indicating that he would use them to remove illegal immigrants on “day one” if he were to win the presidency by invoking the acts.

he Alien and Sedition Acts were a set of four laws enacted in 1798 that applied restrictions to immigration and speech in the United States.[a] The Naturalization Act of 1798 increased the requirements to seek citizenship, the Alien Friends Act of 1798 allowed the president to imprison and deport non-citizens, the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 gave the president additional powers to detain non-citizens during times of war, and the Sedition Act of 1798 criminalized false and malicious statements about the federal government. The Alien Friends Act and the Sedition Act expired after a set number of years, and the Naturalization Act was repealed in 1802. The Alien Enemies Act, as amended, is still in effect as 50 U.S.C. ch. 3
The Alien and Sedition Acts were passed by a Congress controlled by the Federalist Party, and they were directed against the other party at the time, against Democratic-Republicans, the party typically favored by new citizens. Only Democratic-Republican journalists were prosecuted by these laws. Publicity from Sedition Act trials caused massive criticism and contributed to the Federalists being removed from power in the 1800 election.
The Acts were supported by the Federalist Party, and supporters argued that the bills strengthened national security during the Quasi-War, an undeclared naval war with France from 1798 to 1800. The acts were denounced by Democratic-Republicans as suppression of voters and violation of free speech under the First Amendment. While they were in effect, the Alien and Sedition Acts, and the Sedition Act in particular, were used to suppress publishers affiliated with the Democratic-Republicans, and several publishers were arrested for criticism of the Adams administration. The Democratic-Republicans took power in 1800 because of backlash to the Alien and Sedition Acts, and all but the Alien Enemies Act were eliminated by the next Congress. The Alien Enemies Act has been invoked several times since, particularly during World War II. The Alien and Sedition Acts are generally received negatively by modern historians. The U.S. Supreme Court beginning in the mid-20th century has indicated that aspects of the laws would likely be found unconstitutional.

I simply note that there are huge differences between the present Supreme Court and the mid-20th century Supreme Court.
I also note that the present Republican party will do everything it can to maintain power which they can do more easily than the Federalists of 1800.

One thing our better angels could do:
Order the DoJ and the Pentagon to release their internal files from investigations of any trump Cabinet nominees: Gaetz, Hegseth, Kennedy, Gabbard. All in the interest of enabling the 2025 Senate’s Advise and Consent deliberations.
