I finally got a small organizer cabinet with a buncha drawers – glues, tapes, rulers and measuring tapes, scissors and cutters, string and wire ties, etc., all in separate drawers – easy to find. All that’s in the former junk drawer anymore are two pairs of rubber gloves and a couple grip enhancers. Now I just have an extra ugly cabinet sitting in the kitchen.

Don’t look in the attic or basement. Or either of the storage units.

The rule of owning or renting any residence is that when you have space then it will be filled.

I have 3 junk drawers in my kitchen, but only one is designated “junk.” Anything could be in there, especially tools. I hated moving as I did not want to empty that same drawer from my former home. Two others are more common stuff that has to go somewhere. I am lucky to have the space.

Once I realized that the validation key for “a place for everything, and everything in its place” is to actually have a place for everything. If you do? No problem. But most of us don’t.
