I remember playing that back in the day (OK, WAY back in the day). We were some of the lucky ones … we all survived.

Those were actually kind of fun, as long as you didn’t let any drunks, idiots, or small children play.

loved me some Jarts back in the day.

never saw anyone get injured at all.

    even when people played drunk.

I got a set still. Being that our parents weren’t brain dead, we would all be on the same side when we threw them so no one was in the line of fire. Also got more exercise walking back and forth.

Safer than our dirt clod fights in the orchard.

My previous generation played with them and handed them to us. Dozens of people and hundreds of games without a single boo-boo. Of course there is a true danger element, but that only needs a little care and attention. Kind of like life in general.

Like most here, we had Jarts and other dangerous pastimes. While we ourselves never got injured, friends did (with their sets). We did almost shoot a friend’s dog accidentally, and my brother did manage to throw a dart (not Jart) into my other brother’s head, so maybe we shouldn’t have been trusted with them.

Heck, I played with these and rode a bike without a helmet. I lived dangerously!

We played tag with them. Just remember to sanitize them after use.

Lawn darts are only dangerous if you play defense.

If the players have no common sense, it would be well-advised that they don’t play.

Mine are in the garage. I should get them out sometime and play.
