    You might want to consider a change if your current dentist has a sign in their office that says “Drill, Baby, Drill”.

    And the guillotine was invented by a surgeon – not, however, by Dr. Guillotine; his name was slapped on it because of his campaign for a more humane form of execution (being a sensible man, he was actually opposed to capital punishment altogether).

    And apparently used by Edison to demonstrate the danger of AC electricity as proposed by Nikolai Tesla. Edison wanted to use DC for household electric service.

    Alfred Porter Southwick (1826–1898) was a steam-boat engineer, dentist and inventor from Buffalo, New York. He is credited with inventing the electric chair as a method of legal execution.
