To be fair, the name “Elephant Seal” is a lot to live up to!

Speaking more of Weird Al parodying Huey Lewis’ “I Want a New Drug”, Lewis comedically got his revenge:

Now why would you want to depress the bees with sorry news like that!

Wouldn’t you want to give them good news, so they stay happy and productive? Busy Bees make the best Honey! Busy Bees also make the best pollinators.

Technically a super weaner might only nurse from one mother at a time, if they go from their original mother to a new nursing female after reaching the weaning stage (when mothers leave their children to feed themselves).

Elephant seals have a high mortality rate at this point, so going to another adoptive mother at that point can give a huge advantage, at the expense of her actual (younger and weaker) biological children.

The alternate strategy to become a super weaner, which this comic explains, is to nurse from multiple mothers before fully weaning. Seals that follow this strategy are known as “double mother-sucklers”, which is not something I made up as a joke, and I’m surprised the comment filters allowed me to say it.

In all cases, it’s a sort of vicious cycle where larger young seals can overpower others to get more milk, making them even bigger and the others even weaker.

That Weird Al has had more than his share of bills ever since hehehe. Also, another tidbit of info about him, the first time he saw one people were startled when he yelled, “DUCK!” Hahaha. Later they quacked up at the thought of the incident LOL. ~ Emily Litella, now listen I know you’re enjoying this so don’t get your bebek goreng in an uproar lol… oh, never mind.

May respected Island Seal of Approval Mronk “You’re All Seething With Jealousy I Can Feel It From Here” Grubbord be with you, and gesundheit.

Sorry Mr. Ripley – I vote NOT. I watched the parody, and the actual amount of duckology involved wouldn’t take seven minutes to learn, let alone seven days.

If we don’t understand how it’s done, we assume it’s easy. Weird Al’s music is an example. We assume he has it easy. Thank you for your songs.

I believe that we have some “Super Weaners” in the state house in Illinois. Only, weaner is spelled differently.

There was an Outlander episode called Go Tell the Bees I am Gone. I didn’t know what that meant at the time.

Weird Al was not allowed to graduate from university unless he signed a promise to not pursue a license and career in his field of study. Fortunately, he had sent a cassette tape he made in his bathroom to Dr Demento and his new career took off before he graduated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdu8I1gWqk4
