So much expression and character in every panel! Georgia is an amazing artist…and storyteller.

“I’m not crying because I’m sad. Hickory’s talons are digging in my back. Don’t you ever trim them?”

Somehow I think that is directed to us all…….next stop October?

This whole strip is just one big wow! I admit, I was so committed to Georgia and BCN when she started running it, I didn’t want “dark and scary” to taint that happy bit of the world. So I was a little late to the party. But a convo convinced me I at least needed to see what it was about, and of course, I found it was just as full of Georgia magic in all the senses. face palm. What a perfect life lesson for keeping your mind open and trusting your friends. Applause and a standing ovation at the intermission. I already want the book.

This is it, this is the hiatus! This is the last panel the original Swan Eaters readers have been holding on and waiting from since 2013.

On Friday I hope to post a quick sketch with these details to remind folks, but for now: We’re taking a brief break! New Swan Eaters strips will begin on October 2nd! I’ve been waiting almost seven years to finish this story, I can’t wait. I hope you will enjoy where we go next when we return on October 2nd. Blast, I’d forgotten for a moment Vesper was on the other side. Since Clover is going with Olwen, I was going to say at least Salem would have Vesper with her in case she needs help. Now Salem’s got nobody and Medusa Nazis and his cronies are still out there. So she’s gotta both bring everyone back all on her own, but she’s the only one left to fight off Medusa Nazi.

Yes, I know Pilot’s going with Olwen, Clover, and Winnie. But I was looking more at folks with some kinda of supernatural abilities. And personally Vesper is a better choice that Hester in that area. Unless Peter and Ebenezer have abilities they’ve not demonstrated yet (and given how little they’ve been used that is possible), I’d have to say the order of supernatural abilities is

1. Olwen

2. Salem

3. Clover

4. Vesper

5. Hester

6. Ivan (although he might be moving up to tie with Vesper after opening the portal, not sure I feel he deserves that position)

Morbus and Offal are certainly without any supernatural abilities. So’s Pilot, but his medical skills makes him extremely important in the family.

Hopefully the 2 months pass fast or you return early!
