We’ve come to accept this as the ending of every Tarzan story. A quick google check reveals that an elephant has been known to rescue a person. No mention of herds intentionally doing so.

The cavalry arrived !

Huzzah and hoorah!! It’s about time.

I wonder if Hassan’s homeowner’s policy covers damage caused by stampeding elephants.

Tarzan is having Tantor and friends to the Baby Elephant Walk all over Hassan and his miscreants.

In panel 2 he is clearly holding a pistol. In panel 3 it looks like a rifle in the same right hand.

It does look in panel 2, as if Tarzan curses Hassan (which might be true) or casts a spell upon him (which would be new).

Who is that mysterious plumed man? Or did Tarzan say let me handle it, and some actually listened to what he said.
