A sort of sad day for me because vacation is over and I have to go back to work :( But I still have lots of vacation hours and I’ll be off for 2 solid weeks in August! :)

We took the kitten to her new home yesterday. I think she’ll be fine I do worry about the two dogs but the woman assured me she would introduce them slowly.

We got our new phones yesterday. I know a lot of people love getting new ones, but I do not. We called and got them all set us but later discovered ALL of my contacts and photos are on his phone, too. And, none of his contacts are there.I cannot figure out how to delete messages from the carrier. I has stuff I have zero interest in but can’t figure out to how get rid of these things. I did figure out how to delete all of those apps they stick on there.

That couch looks like a coffin to me. Bad omen for little visitor/applicant/lunch item.

Just a tease, none of those cats actually eat the mice. Yesterday I took another magical hike on a beautiful trail with many areas of stone steps and full of wildflowers, built by the California Conservation Core in the 30s. Cool for the first few hours, only a few people, had a nice nap before heading back down. There are thousands of stone, rocks, boulders and tree roots to trip over, but I managed to fall on a wide open flat granite slab and turn my right ankle badly. The pain was excruciating, it took me 4 hours to hike down 2 miles with a throbbing hot foot. Huge bruise this morning but not as much pain. Icing throughout the day and trying to stay off my feet and keep it elevated as much as possible.

Remembering Linda “Granny” Dean (Wet & Soggy), today (January 10 1952 – July 12 2014)…

For those of us who remember Linda, we all still miss her.

I wonder if there is a way we could set up a memorial page for all the Ten Cats fans we have lost.

This really made me laugh despite my thinking the little mouse is so adorable.

I just wish one of the few female cats didn’t have to be the secretary/receptionist.

I wasn’t going to take in any more fosters for a while. The room was clean, it was all put away. Then Susan called this morning. Three kittens, siblings. 2 boys, one girl. All have been spoken for by one family, they just need to pork up by the 27th so they can get fixed. I was gone all day and had Robyn at the shelter text a photo to me. 3 ugly little babies are now in my kitten room. She gave them a bath and they’re in they playing. I must have a hole in my head.

That mouse might not get the job, but he could very well end up on the lunch menu. Perhaps he had better find employment somewhere else, preferably where there are no hungry kitties. On another note, saw two rabbits, three chickadees, a junco, a butterfly, two sparrows, and a deer while out walking today.
