I think Chesney goes by the motto, “There’s a sucker born every minute”. He would never consider what he was doing to be a crime. It’s called “business” in his eyes.
It would just desserts if Chesney’s ill gotten gains turned out to be counterfeit money. I’ve heard that weed of crime bears bitter fruit saying before, but I don’t know where. However, I did immediately think of Batman as soon as I read it, for some reason. on another note, saw seven spotted towhees and a junco while out walking today.

I sure hope those are $10 or $20 bills.
You can’t go far on three one-dollar bills.

Today is:
NATIONAL DRESS UP YOUR PET DAY. Nope. Never! I would never do that to my kitties!
NATIONAL SHOP FOR TRAVEL DAY
RATIFICATION DAY
NATIONAL HOT PASTRAMI SANDWICH DAY. No thanks. I’ll stick with peanut butter.

Is a ‘crime bear’ anything like a ‘care bear?’ Probably not a great Christmas gift.

If only that were true in 99% of crimes – Chez excluded of course!

But apples aren’t weeds—or are they?
zippykatz about 14 hours ago
Knowing Chesney, they’re horse apples.

Trying to remember the radio drama where “the weed…” was a catch phrase. Maybe I just ran across it a lot when I was a kid.

I never thought of fruit as being particularly bitter.
