Ushindi Re: Your post on 2/11. I, too recently picked up Sahara and the 49th Parallel after seeing them on TCM. I liked it and I think you will too. TCM is a big help in choosing movies to add to my collection.

This week I plan on ordering a W.C Fields collection (The Bank Dick, My Little Chickadee, You Can’t Cheat An Honest Man, It’s A Gift, International House), Doris Day Collection, Vol. 2 (Romance On the High Sees, My Dream Is Yours, On Moonlight Bay, I’ll See You In My Dreams, By The Light Of the Silvery Moon, Lucky Me), Inherit the Wind (Spencer Tracy, Gene Kelly), Immortal Sergeant (Henry Fonda) and The Invisible Man (Claude Rains).

The Church of the Holy Snuggie knew, that’s who knew! Just read the Book of Sleeves, 19:6-45, O Ye Unbelievers!

Pay no heed to the ravings of the accursed Slanketists! They are Heretics and are doomed to an Eternity of cold air up their spines!

From close examination of the Snuggie of Turin, you can even determine Jesus’s posture as he stretched out on the Sofa of Antioch after the Last TV Dinner.

But Jesus didn’t have wings…he had a halo, though; I’ve seen it in (yes, Doc Toon) pictures. Another miracle! (Don’t forget to vote)

OK, BC13 - I think I’m going to take a (long) hiatus from the movie collection habit - I still have many I haven’t yet watched. Did I tell you I finally picked up “Lili” with Leslie Caron? Oh, well, enjoy yours…

Ushindi I hope I didn’t have anything to do with you taking that hiatus. There are times when I binge-buy and this is one of them. Usually, I buy one or two at a time, but I have a wish list of about 60 right now - and growing -some of which are to replace my favorite titles on VHS tapes.

My Mom had An American In Paris, which as I recall, also starred Leslie Caron. I just haven’t seen any of her movies on TCM other the afore-mentioned - but I will keep a look-out for “Lili”.

No, no, BC13, not at all - I became so involved in collecting I neglected watching. I’m going to reverse that for awhile. Just had to put out a couple of hundred dollars for a new bulb for my Epson DVD projector so I’m going to sit back and put it to good use. BTW, if you’re not familiar with “Lili”, it’s the one about the circus, with Mel Ferrer and puppets - I saw it as a child and always loved the puppets, so have a soft spot for that particular movie (and the “Hi Lili, Hi Lo” song).

Thanks, Ushindi, but I don’t recall ever seeing it - not even as a child - where some of my collection is based on - like “The Wizard Of Oz” and the “Easter Parade”

There may be no specific mentions of halos in the Bible, but there are plenty of references to the Bible in Halo.
