CFL’s will be remembered as a failed transition from incandescent to LED..I still have an 8 track recorder.

It is already impossible to find 100 watt bulbs……and the cfls make it hard to read, not adequate light.

He would be better off with a LED nose… and the shape would be easier to manage.

There are easy ways to convert CDs or tapes to MP3 format… all you need is a computer and the internet to download the program. For tapes, you’d also need a tape player with a headphone jack so you can plug the other end into the “Line in” on your PC. ;-)

About three years ago I had one of those twisty type CFL bulbs in a lamp in the living room by the TV.. One night after I turned the wall switch on to light it, the darn thing caught on fire and I then had a small flame coming out the top of the lamp shade.. It soon went out on its own though..What a scare it gave me ! Ever since that experience I’ve been very wary of those bulbs and long for the days when we didn’t have such things to worry about.
