Worked with a lawyer years ago that didn’t like that I was sticking with an agreement that I shook hands on and didn’t have anything signed. I told he, “if there were more people like me, we’d need a lot less people like you”.
I’ve always said legal pads are 3” longer than a regular pad of paper because lawyers always use about 30% more words than most people to say the same thing.
My alternate theory is they use words which are 30% longer.
