Guilt abounds

But we all played with that squeaky ball!

The ball proves nothing; we lost it here yesterday, when the squirrel wasn’t even around. probably a cat climbed the tree, and threw it to the ground; then we came along, so the cat stayed in the tree. Prove different; see ya in court.

Will police doggie betrays his kind for a squirrel?

Since when does a dog actually catch a squirrel? Circumstantial!

Cat did it

Crime? What crime? It’s a squirrel!

Not to mention the ‘slobber’ on the victim.

Uh-oh.

It could have been an accident or maybe the squirrel had a heart attack!

An episode of Lawn and Order.

The Lab will be able to match the slobber? Most labs I’ve met would just play with the ball and add their own slobber.

I would wonder who tried to frame the owner of that toy. I cannot imagine a dog losing it even in the heat of a game chasing. Is there a cat around?

We all rolled in the dead squirrel besides all playing with the squeaky ball.

I have reasonable doubt that the ball is related to the alleged crime
