They were lucky it only went straight up. Otherwise someone would have to peel them from the walls right now (or the walls of the neighbors’ houses).

My father once twisted the neck off of a glass jar. “That sucker was really on there.”

    (Minor cut to his hand.)

So that was supposed to be a glass jar? I’m open to any other interpretations.

Better use the contents quick – it will be hard to keep it fresh now.

I hope you can strain the glass out if you’re going to eat it.

Getting the top off a jar? I’d call that a big spell! (-:

So this should be a lesson to Blanche that next time she has a stuck jar to go to someone else to open it!

And this is why you never ask a wizard to open ANY jar.

Blanch seems to have found that shattering experience somewhat jarring.

Reminded me of a similar experience in the USAF. As a hydraulic mechanic working on the B47’s, were always told to NEVER fool with the “schrader valve” on the oxygen tanks located in the front wheelwell. And if ya had to, make sure THEY WERE EMPTY before doing so, or you’d more than likely loose fingers or at least the hand when or if they let go !

Dear cartoonist, it would have helped to label the jar. Mayo anyone?

Mythbusters tested what happens when the valve is knocked off of an air tank. Went through a block wall.
