The hot sweaty days of summer are almost over. I hear jingle bells in the distance.

I like fall better than summer since I can’t stand heat and humidity. But my asthma and allergies get worse in the fall for some reason. Maybe a pumpkin spice latte would help.

What a waste of a latte. Putting pumpkin spice in anything, other than pie, is a waste of whatever you’re putting it in.

I’m wondering if it is marketing ploy, like the baking powder invented new ‘uses’ for baking powder to sell more? (“And remember, replace that open box of baking powder in your ’fridge every month!”)

Autumn is the best, hands down… The smells, the freshness in the air, the quiet…

Ah, Fall (in north Texas), the end of triple-digit temps and the beginning of… occasional triple-digit temps.

Pumpkin spice in my pumpkin pie, definitely yes but in anything else is a definite no. “Fool me once…” that’s all it took.

Autumn is absolutely my favorite season and I know I’ve bought into the whole marketing scheme of it, but I really love pumpkin spice. Nobody’s perfect…

School started here August 5th. You could hear the screams of anguish from the kids and a few teachers while simultaneously the sighs of relief from the parents wafted on the breeze.

With you and Clayton in school, I can actually concentrate on my writing, not that I accomplish much, but still.

It is NEVER appropriate to call you father a fool (even in the comics) — glad he put her down!

Hate to say it but I’m with Adam on the “fall” thing. Leaf raking excluded though.

Somebody help me out. Adam’s comment, “and quiet days” reminds me of a song and it’s bugging me. Can’t think of it.

I hate this business that Labor Day marks the end of summer. 3 more weeks on the calendar, and if you live in Arizona like I do, probably 6 more weeks for real. This week: Excessive heat advisory, near 108 degrees Thursday. NOT Autumn.

Sigh. Fall doesn’t start until my birthday. Sept 22. So ignore those weather folks calling Sept 1st the first day of fall. The astronomers are having a fit about it because it is not the real first day of fall.
