Gene and his family are gone because that’s what happens to couples as they get older.You go from having kid there everyday to having a kid you see once in a month, maybe once in a quarter, maybe twice a year. That’s one reason I like Arlo And Janis; they have grown older and paralleled my life as I’ve grown older.

Rookie mistake, Arlo. When she’s up on that scale you dont look, you don’t make eye contact, you pretend you’re not even in the room. Scales are like Las Vegas: what happens while on the scale stays with the scale.
