I’m a little bit surprised that Arlo and Janis kept an old car battery in their garage… I got the impression that they take their car to “the shop” when it needs fixing, including a battery swap. ;-)
my garage is clean, only because I don’t fill it with with junk, I’d rather rent tools than buy Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser that I will never use again.
Our garage is husband’s woodworking shop – ankle deep in saw dust.
When he can’t find things there – or in his leather shop in the basement or his “loom room” for weaving aka the living room or our general craft studio off our kitchen or in our office or his personal stuff – he will ask me where the item is. My standard reply is “what did you last use it for” that will generally result in my finding the missing item.
Then again, tonight as we were heading out to pick up our car from the mechanic I could not remember where I (and I always put things somewhere logically) had left the plastic shopping with the can of Lysol and plastic sandwiches bags to use as cheap disposable gloves. We are were looking in the dining room, the kitchen, the studio – duh! I left the bag hanging on the door we were going to walk out so we did not forget it!

My Dad was never very happy with that manner of my completing the assigned task, and I don’t think that Janis will be any more accepting.

You can tell me to do something or, you can tell me how to do something. But not both!

The difference between a garage sale and trash day, is how close your stuff is set by the curb….

Hubby cleans off his work bench by putting everything in a big box. . .
. . . which he puts on top of the dryer.
