Iâve come to the conclusion that most women need to talk to each other, and donât grasp that most men donât. And most men donât need to talk to anyone, and donât grasp that most women do. This is the main reason why I finish my meal sooner than my wife finishes hers.
Hubs and I only leave the house for medical appointments usually. Neither of us likes going out. Iâm happy with online shopping though the two grocers that deliver make me nuts at times! Their pickers do the most ridiculous things at times, like substituting a single roll of toilet paper for hamburger buns? Seriously?!
Yeah, they hear about it clear up to corporate. Honestly⊠trouble with living in a small town is I donât really have a choice of where to order from for groceries :(
But â I understand. If I tell husband we need to do this or that or that we need this or that â he will have no memory of the discussion and when he tells me things he only tells me part.
He has been talking about driving our Chevy van/RV for about an hour or so as it needs to be driven. Yesterday after lunch he said âWe have to drive the RV.â He knows when we are going out anywhere for an extended time (say an hour) these days I have to know before lunch so I limit liquid intake as I donât want to use public bathrooms (until the pandemic is resolved). So I was annoyed.
But what he actually meant that we needed to drive it up the street and leave it for state inspection at our mechanic. Confusion was due to â normally he says âWe have to take (vehicle name) to Tonyâ when we are taking it to the mechanic and when he says we are taking it for a drive we are taking it for the extended trip to keep it running.
I am thinking I will text everything to him even if we are in the same room and asking him to do the same so we cut down on confusion and discussion on what was said.

Just ask her if she would like you to go with her.

Which just proves that he was listening. But in this case itâs better to just throw in an"OK" or âunh hunhâ now and then.

âWhat are your plans today?â would be a nice question for Janis to ask.

She should go to the mall first, and grocery shopping last. That way, the meat, dairy and produce stay fresher in the car.

This seems like a repeat, not sure how long ago, but I seem to remember another A & J very similar to this one.

Almost real life, but there was no mention of her friendâs nephewâs girlfriend.

Not so sure going to any mall is worth it anymore, they seem like dead zones.

My wife is very soft-spoken, so I have a Personal Sound Amplifier I wear and occasionally forget to turn on.

All she wants is ONE sentence to acknowledge that you heard her.
âSounds like a busy dayâ
âHave funâ
Or
âEnjoy your errandsâ
