When I make a statement like that my wife used to listen. Now she says who cares? No one but people our age even know who they are.

I have been Googled more than a few times but have not been tripped up yet. On one occasion I was saved by a daughter’s roommate who piped up “No, your father is right.” and immediately was shushed by said daughter with a “We never admit that.”

Now she knows he has been lying all of these years just to impress her.

I often take a friend on road trips because he doesn’t have a car. He would often ask me a question about this or that, and I would have to answer, “I don’t know. You’re the one with the phone.”

I read a conversation (online) several years ago about who actually wrote this song. I guess there is a book that David Crosby wrote (or perhaps someone else writing about him) where Crosby told of experiences that parallel the details of the song. He would stare into the sky at the Southern Cross while on a ship. So while he may not be credited with writing the lyrics of the song, there are many people that believe he is the true author.

Almost cut my hair was written by Crosby.

He will be missed, but he will live on in song…

I don’t think Crosby even sings on that one. It’s Stills.

Southern Cross remains on my favorite list

In fact, Crosby wasn’t even in the group when they recorded Southern Cross. But when he re-joined them later, his harmony was awesome – as usual!
