May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face.

May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Doubt a longer text would have saved Janis that trip but Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all my fellow A&J fans.

Salem set aside some money to fix sidewalks and set up a website for reporting problems. It’s oversubscribed by a factor of five. Lots of really bad concrete was poured back in the ’70s.

@ermine Notyours…..Bah on tree lined streets AND the timelyness of this cartoon. Yesterday, (I guess St Pat was attacking Italians early), I was taking my morning walk on a new route (along a sidewalk lined with trees. I looked up for just a moment and like Janic tripped on a raised slab. Unlike Janic I did not loose my phone (which was in my pocket) but did a running fall. Spent 6 hours in the emergency room being checked for broken bones and kidney damage. Bah, humbug!But I am much better now….NOT!

I prefer “Fair winds and following seas”.

She’s lucky she’s not in the hospital with that type of fall.

I replied earlier that I always thought that “May the road rise to meet you.” had more to do with keeping out of the mud.

I always thought of that way of thinking of it when I heard that blessing.

She got it, but she needs a new phone.
