Wren was bored with the places mom takes her.

I remember reading about some athlete who was challenged to follow a toddler around and do everything they did. By noon, he collapsed from exhaustion.

I love how the journey Wren took got progressively crazier.

I just realized how subtle is the change in this comic strip…. Wren is growing up! When did this happen? (how spooky, it’s like real life)

Where do little kids get all their energy?!

Put her on a leash, safer for everyone and no one ends up with a displaced shoulder (if you try to just hold the kid’s hand.)

Ugh! This iPad keeps turning the strip when I try to see it upright.

Other than panel one, the others I presume are metaphors of the journey. Sort of like the paths Billy often takes when called home in “Family Circus”.

Oh, you want to attend the father/daughter dances when Wren gets older, Darryl?

I remember those type of walks with my daughter. In the condo complex, going to check on the laundry, I let her take the lead. We had to up every stair case, and back down, that was along the route to the laundry room. What a workout for me and an 18-month old.

That’s the problem with monitors, can’t turn it on it’s side like a newspaper…

Wanda looks confuzed in the last panel, which suggests that she uzually retains more control over her walks with Wren.

It would have been so hard to draw this strip right side up? Or even just the one panel with text?

I duuno, dad… looked like a fun and complete workout. Make it daily thing and maybe that nose will lose some weight! he he.

They always say they can’t wait until kids can walk but then…

Guys, us old folk who read this on a desktop have trouble reading it sideways – nor can I turn a 36 inch monitor very easily onto its side.

The energy of the kids is inexhaustic. Only if we could be kids for ever.

Is she training for the special forces?

They’re factory fresh. Won’t need a tune up for five thousand miles.
