They should get Siri-us.

My daughter got one as a gift, Alexa, put it into the cupboard and there it resides never hooked up!

Does Hammie use a high voice when imitating Alexa?

Hopefully they will be learning something from looking up the answers to questions.

I just read yesterday where Amazon lost a law suit about Alexa capturing and storing children’s voices and information without anyone knowing. Their penalty of paying millions was like a nickel to the common man. Having those devices in your home or office are so intrusive! We may never know the total scope of what they capture.

This is funny! And good for Hammie to be reading in summer.

Potentially smarter kids if this game keeps up.

I prefer my Google Home to Amazon’s Alexa. I’ve had both, Google is better. :) IMO

Possibly, but they are definitely smart by requiring you to do your own research…..

That research that Hammie is doing will keep him in the rapidly shrinking group of people who will know how to solve problems when the wifi goes out. Go Hammie.

I do not understand the need, purpose, or rationale to have such intrusive devices in one’s home. Is it due to laziness? Or is it a case of “keeping up with the Joneses”—everyone has one so I must have one too.

That’s pretty cute. I’m rather surprised Hammie went along with it.

Smart. Not stingy

Seriously kids, you don’t want Alexa, or any other bot in your house. I wouldn’t even have a cell phone if my husband’s son didn’t insist upon it and his wife gets mad because I have the tracking turned off on it. Most of the time the thing is turned off unless we are travelling. We didn’t have a TV until this past Christmas when our grandson bought my husband one. While I am quite tech-savvy, I just don’t feel the need to have it run my life.

Maybe they just can’t afford it.
