He felt that he just had to kick up his heels a little bit. The drinks at the retirement party might have had a little bit to do with it.

I blame the cardboard pants inserts. It’s well known that aerodynamically speaking, you can’t get the forward roll high enough with them. Hence the face plant.

That and the fact that his butt alone weighs 245 pounds. Well….

Spring Fever! Made him think he was young again, before he needed those inserts to present a properly flat Ballard Butte.

His wallet seems pretty thin, though. I hope he can afford to pay for the repairs to Mrs. Higgenpooter’s lawn.

    Poor Mr. Chambers.

    People are laughing at him.

Well, I don’t think it’s so gosh darn amusing.

I’m going across the street, to try to help him pick up his wallet, and that credit card he’s about to lose….

before some passerby gets a real charge out of it.

This actually occurred last Tuesday. He thought the gravitational pull of the supermoon would give him the extra lift he needed to complete it this time.

    .

    He was wrong.

Not sure if this is where Jerry gets his ideas or these people have been reading too much Ballard Street.

LOL!…there is nothing quite like a twenty-something’s faith in their own fitness/invulnerability that can come crashing down, quite

    literally

Well, at least he had the foresight to try that in the lawn, and not on the concrete walk.

Either that lawn had a hole in it, or Chambers head just said hello to his kidneys.

Second childhood. At 65 I thought I could still skateboard. I saved face by not falling but every one of those muscles I hadn’t used in years screamed in agony for two days. I feel Chambers’ pain in refusing to be old.

I put on a snowsuit and went out on the lawn to make a snow angel a couple of years ago…and then found, to my dismay, that I couldn’t get up

He could not possibly do a successful somersault with the flat cardboard piece in his pants. Cardboard has never been "roller-friendly)…
