Last panel is cute.
If man came from apes, did the jester in Id come from this guy?
Who knew that an apteryx could be so forward?
I’m a bird eating snake….
He is the American President?
Reminds me of the drunk stork from the Looney Tunes cartoons.
Perhaps wings do I have? Maybe fly I can?
[“Try to … No … Do … use the Force, I shall.”]
Once saw a movie where a drunk kept seeing snakes and lizards. Wonder if that snake is actually there. :} )>
good enough to eats for me.
“So I’m B.C.’s answer to Bung from “The Wizard of Id”…
Don’t drink and fly. Oh, no problem.
A drunk Secretary
Finally got around to looking up “apteryx” in something other than this comic strip. It’s only taken me fifty years.
“Many a true word are said in jest” …and when 3 sheets to the wind.
He must have had tee martunies
He’s a liar, an outlier.
I haven’t seen this bird in a very long time! Missed him.
Maybe this is the ancestor of the drunk baby-delivering stork from Looney Tunes?
Is he the first bird or the last dinosaur? Or did the dinos evolve into the birds? In scientific circles most have embraced that given evidence of feathered dinos and other stuff like soft tissue findings and such.
Appy! How ya been?
He had too many fermented grapes!
Snake: “And I shall call you dinner!”
Apteryx, meet Bung …
Snake – “I kinda guessed that.”
Feathers and hair came from the same pinacoid fibers.
Well natch, look at that beak, gets stuck real easy in a bottle.
I am thrilled to see Apteryx back after a long absence. But I would have hoped for a more dignified return. He never struck me as a drunk.
