Fred Flintstone always flew on the top of the pterodactyl.

Fred probably paid extra for the premium seating.

Almost nobody with a phone ever looks up. They could be caught by a ptera-whatever and never see it coming.

Ptero-dactyl: ‘Wing Finger,’ that is, clawed wing(s). (We had a stray cat that we named Claude, incidentally, just for fun).Helico-pter: ‘Spiral Wing.’

Looks like getting out of your animal skins over water may be your next move……

For once in my life, I live in the right State and at the place to see the eclipse tomorrow ….. just cleaned off the rest of the snow on my deck so I can put my rocker out and watch it in comfort ….. ;)

Just about time for the sandhill cranes to fly over my house. We hear them way before we can see them … on their annual routes to or from Richard Bong State Recreation Area, Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, Crex Meadows Wildlife Area or perhaps back home to Sandhill State Wildlife refuge in Wood County

Remember when “surfing” involved some form of exercise?

A pterosaur, but not a pterodactyl, as they were small. Pteranodon, perhaps, or even Quetzalcoatlus northropi — those things were huge!

Time to feed the children.
