I had a few hikes like that last fall after the first snow, no one else on trails in the High Sierra that see hundreds during the summer. Absolute heaven.

Careful. Don’t take anything for granted in the wilderness. And it’s ALL wilderness.

What a lovely peaceful scene. Just you and your dog on the woodsy path.

Perhaps some other wildlife?

What’s that telephone wire on the ground for? And if it’s the edge of an embankment, why is it black?

Oh very good, love it. Notice he had toget out of town, off thre road, and off the trail as well to find that spot.

If he’s an experienced hiker, he should have a mirror on him. He can see an idiot anytime, unless that idiot doesn’t carry one.

Love it! Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the reminder that this kind of scenery is out there for those who are willing to hike far enough to see it.

This reminds me of a quote attributed to Adlai Stevenson during his last campaign. “It’s not enough to have every intelligent person in the country voting for me. I need a majority!”
